Collaboration with artist Lorenzo Pace on a three book series to expand around an existing book Jalani and the Lock. Each book presented its own challenges whether it was fitting wall-sized collages onto the page for Marching With Martin or sourcing historical imagery to superimpose over hand-sewn quilt photos in Harriet Tubman and My Grandmother’s Quilts. The look and brand established in Jalani was expanded upon to encompass and showcase Dr. Pace’s powerful art exploring his personal ancestry and heritage.
